I got a variety of answers. One person even answered, "Myself!" Commitment can mean a lot of things, depending on the person, but the main concept is to entrust something of value over to another (person, place or thing) for a specific purpose. The most important thing of value, of course, is you, but commit to what? Paul wrote in Romans 12:1 of "present(ing) your bodies as a living sacrifice unto God, which is your reasonable service." Committing your whole being to God is a sacrifice. But considering the sacrifice He made for us, I think it is the least we can do for Him.

So...what are you committed to? Are you committed to something that is bigger than just you and yours? And does your commitment translate into action, or merely lip service? Selah.

What about: Commitment?
A moment with Pastor Charlotte

At our church retreat, I asked attendees the question: "What are you committed to?"
